I've removed all the parts but have left the bodies attached to each other. I have an ultrasonic cleaner big enough to put both carbs in. I use simple green in distilled water. hhiuoWebOnce you get it out disconnect the throttle cable (s). My bike runs a single cable into a linkage that operates all 4 carbs. Some of the others use use a 4 cable and harder to adjust system. The carbs are now just floating on the boots. Sometimes they stick in the boots and it takes considerable force to get them out. Every rubber part that comes into contact with gas needs to be replaced. The floats heights need to be checked and adjusted if needed. I hope this helps... and best of luck to you!
