Helping a neighbor put a new 5.7L TBI engine in his 1990 Chevy 1500 4X4. It has a non HEI distributor ignition. Everything I've seen seems to indicate that on this type of setup it needs to be installed at 0 degrees initial timing and the computer takes over timing advance automatically.
