I attended law school at St. Mary's University School of Law from 1987 - 1990, graduating in May, 1990 with a Juris Doctor degree. I immediately began work with a wonderful group of folk (attorneys and staff) who taught me the things I didn't learn in law school. I especially thank Holly Gilman, Esq., Alex Tradd II, Esq., and Susan Tradd for the adventure of a life time from May, 1990 until May, 1995 when I ventured out on my own.
I practiced as a solo attorney in Texas from May, 1995 until August, 1999, when I pulled up my Texas roots and moved to Maine. Unfortunately, as Maine did not have reciprocity with Texas, I had to sit for the Maine Bar exam before I could practice there. But that was just a bump in the road as I had been well versed in the knowledge needed to easily pass.
While I maintain my license, I began the process of downsizing in 2009, and today primarily limit my practice to pro bono elder law issues and family interests.
