Been there, done that.......

I have been a school teacher (high school and middle school), owned a hardware store, directed and ran an art gallery, been a real estate broker, worked on a real Texas cattle ranch, and in between did just about everything including construction, carpentry, a little plumbing, insulation, sales, and so on, and so on, and so on.

In the late 1980s I finally hit upon something that took, went to law school, and for the past 20+ years have practiced law in Texas, Colorado, and Maine.  I am still licensed to practice in Texas (1990 - inactive at present), Colorado (1998 - inactive at present), and Maine (2000 - present), but do very little of that these days.

My greatest adventure, though, was raising my daughter.

WHO I AM

I am a child of the 50's who never learned that it is acceptable to  betray a trust. I am aggressively ethical and will not sell my principles for any amount of money. 

WHO I LIKE

I like smart people - not necessarily qualified by education: some of the smartest people I know never went past high school; some of the biggest morons I have met have post graduate degrees.

WHO I DO NOT LIKE

Inconsiderate drivers, loud mouth jerks, rude people, and anyone who takes unfair advantage of those in a weaker or lesser poisiton in life. I cannot tolerate mean spirited people, bigots, racists, bullies, or anyone who is into abusive behavior (physical or emotional).  Anyone who betrays the trust of a friend is beneath contempt.

WHAT I LIKE

Reading,web surfing, photography, philately, writing, old movies, travel, good coffee and people with whom you can congregate without the need to babble inanities.

WHAT I DO NOT LIKE

Long lines, telephone solicitors, scorpions, nettles, hot weather, being sick, paying taxes.....
